When you are next at McLean's Island you will see a new Tower on the Cross Country Course.

A new commentators tower has been built on our Cross Country Course.

This has been a while in the making and a few special thank you's are in order.

Firstly Penny Lawrence from Orion who was able to use her charm to get contractors to donate and deliver the 4 telephone poles we needed to kick start the project.

Then Mora construction stepped up and wiped the bill for supplying earth work equipment and time to erect the poles and hammer them in place.

This $900 Donation is very much appreciated by us all at Eventing Canterbury.

Mora Earthworks was recommended to us by Orion as the best in the business for this type of work.

Mora have the equipment and people to do the following work.

Servicing farm & lifestyle blocks
Farm track maintenance & construction, fence lines,
Augering & post driving,
House site excavation,
Land clearing.

So if you need it done call Steve or Michelle on Ph 03 3224029

Then with money from the Twilight Series (which could not have been run without support from NZCT).

NZCT again contributed $ for $ in getting the most expensive part of the construction of the towers platform completed.

Sheds NZ provided us with an unbeatable quote and completed the Job.

The Tower is now ready for action.

It has been christened by Kevin and Di at our recent Twilight series.

It will allow for bigger and better courses for our Twilight events as the sole XC judge can see further afeild  to nearly all corners of the XC course.

Our Cross Country events will now be able to be commentated from the tower to keep everyone up with the action and bring more excitement to the up coming 3 Day Trans Tasman Young Rider Challenge.

Again a big thank you for everone involved in this project.
