Things that need finishing. We always need story's. Think Local here or if international about our Local riders or things that are coming our way. They don't need to be of press core standard, It's our site and a place to let our guys talk about what's happening locally and with our riders. Issues ,success, change, great things you have seen etc. Front Page Address Kevin has asked Annie to assist him with this. If you do not have author access just email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and I will put them on line for you. FAQ's These need answering please.
Eventing Canterbury When you join "What do you get for your Money?" "How to Join" Riders Do I Need to register with ESNZ or anyone else? "What should I wear?" This should cover the three disciplines clothes, colours, golves, Safety helmets, back protectors, boots, chaps. Different classes etc. even trotup clothes for 3day. How big does my horse need to be and is there a minimum horse age? "What's available at each venue?" more important what's not. Check list of gear I need to take? (handy starting point that could be copied down and adjusted for individual needs) "How old do I have to be?" What rules are different to Pony Club?.... Just the things that a Pony Club rider would need to know for there 1st event. Things like No Gear Check, Must use back Protector for XC etc. Don't let anyone else ride your horse or you could be eliminated. Even a list of what to expect, who to speak to and what to do on the first Day. I think it would be good that the committee knew who was new so we could introduce ourselves and give a hand to our first timers or visiting riders. Sponsors Wendy and Viv could really help here. Details here on current sponsors Why we need the money Where it goes What they get for there Money Spectators Some exciting photos, videos etc to get them to come along. Who's going to be riding and when for our STARS. Volunteers Details on each of the tasks asked "Job Descriptions" how to prepare (if needed) what the have to do on the day, how long it takes etc I have done one for fence judges but I need some for SJ Writers, Dressage Writers, Scorers, SJ Judges, Dressage Judges, Cross country designers, Doctors, Vets, Farriers and any other volunteer that we need that I have not mentioned. Event Organisers It would be great to have a complete break down on what all the tasks are in a check list format for each of the allocated jobs. This does not need to be in the public section but would be of great help if anyone was, away, sick or new. They could take a check list with them and make sure they have not missed important tasks due to lack of knowledge or the like. "How best to do things" so that new people to the position don't loose valuable lessons learned in the past. Anything you would like to see on this site please go to the FORUM and add what you would like there. I will try my best to do it. Please also help me when you find a broken link or you see an error in a document that needs correcting. I am very new to eventing and horses in general and as such don't have your experience. Either send me an email or use the feedback link.
Many Thanks
Donald
